GWG is organized internally into three major resource pools. Each practice has an assigned leader and promotes knowledge transfer, discussion, and support among GWG employees and our network of independent consultants.

Technology Services

GWG designs solutions from end-to-end, including strategy, architecture, security modeling, and detailed application design. We work within your framework or bring in the right set of tools for you if you prefer. We are well versed in UML using Rational Rose, Together, and several other products/plugins. Our systems are thoroughly analyzed and documented, with models being refined throughout the development lifecycle.

Our software implementation sweet spot is in Java/J2EE technology, though we generally interface our systems with a variety of other tools and technologies. We have experience with most of the major J2EE platforms (WebLogic, Websphere, JBoss, etc.). We focus on systems integration and service oriented architecture (including and beyond web services) to deliver real business value in the systems we help create.

GWG also provides a wide range of testing offerings, from security vulnerability testing to load and performance testing. All of our systems receive thorough testing as part of our quality assurance process. We can also test other systems to ensure that your overall environment is operating at optimal levels.

Business Services

No project succeeds without a clear vision and well orchestrated execution. GWG starts by understanding your vision and needs. We then tailor a solution to your business and technical environment. We can help define an overall strategy or help you execute an existing one. Our business consultants provide feasibility studies, ROI and cost/benefit analysis, requirements gathering, and test planning services. These activities are critical drivers ensuring the overall success of any technical effort.

To execute the plan, GWG staffs quality project management (PMI certified) and resources that can work in a variety of methodological environments. We do most of our work with Agile software methodologies of one sort or another. However, we also have experience with larger, thicker methodologies like RUP and the traditional SDLC. For clients without a methodology of choice, we can define and implement a "just in time" hybrid methodology that will work best for a given project.

Creative Services

We round out our delivery capabilities by providing the best in information architecture and creative services for web based applications. Our information architects will ensure the proper structure and content organization for your application. This enhances the user experience and leads to increased usage and perception of value by your customers. Our graphic designers and page developers then translate the site architecture into a first rate user interface. They work within your branding guidelines or help you create a new brand of your own.
